Front Steering Axles & Spindle Repair

Machine Shop Services

  • Front Steering Axles Rebushed for King Pin Fit
  • King Pin Spindles Rebushed and Reamed
  • Front Hub Bearings Replaced

Steering Axles

  • Axle eyes are machined to a maximum 1/8" wall sleeve.
  • Camber angles are maintained to factory specifications to reduce tire wear.
  • Axle eye sleeve is machined to 1/1000th of an inch for maximum life of axle.
  • King pin shims are a maximum of 4 for longer life of axle.

Spindles

  • Spindle eyes are machined for a 1/16" wall sleeve.
  • Eyes are line bored for a precision fit for the king pin.
  • Spindle bearing surfaces are repaired for proper fit.

Assembly

  • Axles and Spindles are assembled at our facility to insure a proper fit and provide a longer life of service.
  • Thrust bearings are hand packed with grease.
  • Final assembly is lubricated to insure all areas are accepting grease properly.
